SCHOOL PRESIDENT – VIOLA LEAH LEKAASO

I am a leader not just because i want to but because i have that spirit of leadership in me. In future, i want to build and transform the society to a better place to be. Leadership gives me the courage to lead others on the right way, fight for what is right and stand strong when am lonely. That’s what i like of me being a school president. Every human has the instinct and capacity for leadership, but most do not have the courage or will to cultivate it. My belief are product of my thoughts, my thoughts creates my belief, my belief creates my conviction, my conviction creates my attitude, my attitude controls my perception and my perception dictates my behaviour.

DEPUTY PRESIDENT (ACADEMICS AND ACADEMIC PROGRAMS) – JUDY CYNTHIA LOLOPIRO

I am privileged to be a prefect in Irene School not only a prefect but a deputy president. Being an academic prefect is not an easy task, its all about sacrifice. Encouraging and motivating students on their performance in school, is one of my major roles. This is what i enjoy doing most and it has always made my life to move forward in a positive way. Other academic programs i am involved in; include debating, peer teaching, group discussions, contest, symposium, eradicating of poor grades and spearheading of academic clinics. I am very proud of being part of the student council.

DEPUTY PRESIDENT (DISCIPLINE AND SPECIAL PROGRAMS) – ANNE NAITIMU LEALMUSIA

My duty as a Deputy President is Discipline and Special Programs. Special programs are like Seminars, motivational talk and workshops. What i like about being a disciplinary prefect is that i get the opportunity to correct people and people and help them follow the school rules because i believe that discipline is destination of every person.

LITURGY AND SPIRITUAL WELFARE SECRETARY – LEAH FURAHA LEKAMARIO

I have been chosen to be a prefect because of how i relate with people in bringing them close to God, treating them equally and always trying to put myself in their shoes. I believe to be a good leader; one requires to defer many of their own needs and desires in favor of the needs of others. As a consequence of this sacrifice, conscientious leaders develop a nobility of character and learn to put into practice the selfless truths taught by the Savior Himself.


ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH AND SANITATION SECRETARY – LOSIEKU JOSEPHINE SAKINA

I am very passionate of being a prefect under this docket since i believe environment is where we all meet; where we all have a mutual interest; it is the one thing all of us share. Franklin D. Roosevelt once said “A nation that destroys its soils destroys itself. Forests are the lungs of our land, purifying the air and giving fresh strength to our people.” This is what drives my passion in being a great leader to bring out the best out of the society.


ASSISTANT ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH AND SANITATION SECRETARY – LEALE JOYLEEN RAYANA

I wanted to become an environmental prefect so that i can make sure the environment around our school and out there in the society. My drive was also came out of wanting to discourage deforestation in my community as i believe that charity always begins at home. My commitment comes from always wanting to be on the forefront of leading an institution with peace and harmony. It has been a great experience and i am looking forward to continue enhancing the skills gained in leading better institutions out their as a patriotic Kenyan citizen

CATERING AND STUDENT’S WELFARE SECRETARY – LENGIRNAS HILDA MPAKUNI

I was elected to be a leader because i am committed and passionate in everything that i do. I accepted to be a leader in-order to represent and serve my fellow student and set an example in all aspect of school life, thus adopt strong leadership within the school and prepare myself for future. As a leader i always uphold loyalty and envision to fully commit this in my future endeavors.

I believe my main reason of being selected for this position was due to my character of equity to all. I like treating my fellow students equally so that everyone can feel that the school well fits them. I envision this as a pathway in preparing me to be a better leader in this country and always pray to God for wisdom.

One quote i carry with me is “Leadership is not about position rather it is about the the spirit”. The thing i love about being an entertainment secretary is how we can integrate education with entertainment to stimulate an interesting learning environment. I believe edutainment brings a tremendous influence in shaping young lives in the realm of entertainment towards the ideals and objectives of normal adulthood. My dream is to become an enthusiastic and competent leader in my society.

My service is as a Games and Sports captain. My experience as a leader is impressive since i am able to realize my potential in leadership. I was selected by the school to serve in just and fairness. My passion in leadership has created a future quench in being able to spearhead rights of women in our society. John Quincy Adams once said ” If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” This quote, is what i carry with me each and every day in becoming a better leader.

What i have learnt about being a class secretary is that a student has the ability to achieve her goals. I have gotten to learn different characters of each student in my class and use this to well handle the different personalities. I have learnt that students respect me out of the integrity and judgement i use when leading. I can say being a class prefect has taught me a lot and i have also acquired good quality leadership skills.

My work as a dormitory prefect is to ensure that there is always a conducive environment where the students go to rest after their day to day activities. Besides that, i also act as a mother in my dormitory where i mentor, solve issues among the students and council my fellow colleagues entrusted under my leadership. Just as they said ” A mother’s happiness is like a beacon, lighting up the future but reflected also on the past in the guise of fond memories.” This is what i try to create, a family among ourselves.
